Investment Operations Overview
The primary role of the Investment Operations (IO) is to implement sovereign-backed financings and non-sovereign-backed financings consistent with the Bank’s purpose.
IO is divided into two geographical teams:
Region 1: Southeast Asia, South Asia (except Pakistan and Afghanistan) and the Pacific Islands.
Region 2: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia, East Asia, West Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and Latin America.
Each regional team has two subdivisions: Infrastructure Investment Department and Banking Department. In addition, the Social Infrastructure Department covers both regions and works with both regional teams.
