The AIIB Compliance & Integrity Risk function promotes the highest standards of integrity and ensures that they are applied to all of the Bank’s activities.
The function supports a culture based on the Bank’s values and professional conduct, while it ensures efficient management and oversight of Compliance & Integrity Risks.
Roles of the Compliance & Integrity Risk function
The function is responsible for the management and oversight of the Bank’s exposure to compliance and integrity risk and provides advice to the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management on how to effectively manage such risks faced by the Bank.
Compliance & Integrity Risk Activities
The function is responsible for the management of Compliance & Integrity Risks including:
- Anti-Money Laundering
- Counter Financing of Terrorism
- Integrity Due Diligence
- Economic and Trade Sanctions
- Export Control
- Tax related crimes
Compliance and Integrity Risk is a second line of defense function within the Risk Management Department. The Head of Compliance & Integrity Risk, under the oversight of the Chief Risk Officer, is responsible for the function and has access to the Risk Committee and Audit & Risk Committee.
